Bury St Edmunds' Market Cross and Theatre, which no longer contains a theatre, is an 18th century building by the famous Scottish architect Robert Adam.

He is better known for his elegant interiors but the town is lucky to have here four external elevations by him, to all intents and purposes intact.

Two of the panel contain music motifs.
