I have quite a bit of sympathy for the argument that the volume sale of luxury may contribute to the diminution of beauty across the board.

What you get here are non-serial, often artisanal, creations, priced sometimes just touching the luxury end but with a much greater likelihood of becoming collectible as an aesthetic sense has driven the choice of artists and artisans.

This is not a given in time or place but the boulevard d'Aguillon, Antibes has shown persistence in its direction so I come back.

Then, still on the boulevard, there was the closing event for the Christophe Charbonnel sculptures, Mythologies Contemporaines, in the Les Arcades exhibition space. 10,000 have visited them there and many multiples of that will have seen those dotted around town in the past three months.

Naelys, the creation of Nathalie Sasizza, has opened a workshop for the month in the boulevard where you can see the cutting and hand stitching of products and, indeed, engage in you own selection of materials for use in the creation of bespoke items. Techniques will be imparted, especially to the young.
